Businessolver Gives Back to Communities Nationwide with 2019 Foundation Activities

HR technology companyโ€™s charitable foundationย supports health, education, andย community bettermentย initiatives for fourthย consecutiveย yearย 

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (Decemberย 17, 2019)โ€”Businessolverยฎ,ย a leader in SaaS-based benefits administration technology and services,ย announcedย that theย Businessolver Foundationย donated $350,000 in 2019 to a variety of health, education, andย communityย initiatives inย areasย where Businessolverย has aย localย presence. Of that total amount, employees contributed $34,000, and the Foundation supported 57 organizations across the country.

Since its inception in 2016, the Businessolver Foundation has donated over $1,000,000,ย and employees have donated an additionalย $100,000ย to designated charitable organizations. Additionally, โ€œSolversโ€ have volunteered over 6,000 hours of their time to charitable activities. In 2019,ย nearly 3,000ย hours were logged by employees participating in philanthropic efforts.

Providingย supportย for healthyย populations

The Businessolver Foundation contributed to a wide variety of health-relatedย charitable activities and organizationsย by:

  • Granting wishes forย two Make-a-Wishย families inย Iowa Cityย andย Denver.
  • Partneringย withย Special Olympics Iowaย forย the Special Olympics Plane Pullย andย Over the Edge event.
  • Supportingย theย American Heart Associationย throughย the Dallas Heart Walk;ย Cycle Nationย in Denver;ย Heart Ball, Go Red for Women, Heart Walk,ย and the Heart Dash at Duskย in Des Moines; andย participating asย aย premier sponsor ofย RAGBRAIย (The Registerโ€™s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa), the worldโ€™s largest and longest recreational bike ride.

Supporting education at all ages

The Foundationย continued its commitment to education by:

  • Preparingย back-to-school backpacksย and playing Santa Clausย for students atย Roswell B. Masonย Elementary Schoolย in Chicago.
  • Sponsoringย key initiatives withย Junior Achievement, an international organization whose purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
  • Awarding scholarships to 30 dependents of Businessolver employees, totalingย $58,000ย in 2019.
  • Donatingย $5,000 to alleviate student lunchย debtย atย schools in numerous communities where the company has office locations.

Strengthening our communities

Businessolver is dedicated to improving the communities where they have aย localย presence, and in 2019 they demonstrated this by:

  • Sponsoringย dsmHack, which provides technology services to Iowa nonprofit organizations.
  • Sponsoringย Battle of the Brains, which benefits theย Science Center of Iowa.
  • Building a home and sponsoring the annual Key Awards for the Greater Des Moines chapterย ofย Habitat for Humanity.
  • Supportingย theย SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walkย in Orange County, whichย benefits children with special needsย and education.
  • Partnering withย Samaritanโ€™s Purseย andย the local SHRMย Chapter, DallasHR,ย for Operation Christmas Child.
